Google Business Profile checklist
Get your garage found on Google. Work through this checklist to set up and optimise your Google Business Profile. Tick items as you go, it saves nothing and prints cleanly.
Set up the basics
- Claim or create your Business Profile at business.google.com
- Use your exact business name (no keyword stuffing)
- Choose the most accurate primary category (e.g. Auto repair shop)
- Add relevant additional categories (tyres, MOT/NCT prep, recovery)
- Set your correct address or service area
- Add your phone number
- Add your website
Hours & services
- Set regular opening hours
- Add special hours (bank holidays, Christmas)
- List your services with short descriptions
- Add your Escargo booking link as the appointment/booking URL
Photos & trust
- Add a logo and cover photo
- Add real photos of your premises and team
- Ask happy customers for reviews
- Reply to every review, positive or negative
- Check there are no duplicate profiles for your garage
